  • Dr. Terri Lynch-Caris


    Dr. Terri Lynch-Caris is a Professor of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering and serves as the Director for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Kettering University. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. She lives in Hartland with her husband and three sons.


  • Brian


    Brian is the Great Grandson of Hartland Area Project founder, J. Robert Crouse. He grew up in Michigan and moved back in2005 to help run their family business – Waldenwoods which includes Waldenwoods Resort, The Shops at Waldenwoods, The Majestic Golf Course, and Village Manor Retirement. Brian joined the Hartland Area Project board in 2013 and is also an active board member for Waldenwoods’ travel program, Resorts of Distinction. He lives in Brighton with his wife of 17years, Dr. Ulla Crouse, Orthodontist at Brighton Orthodontics, and his three children Robert, Maria & Risto. Brian Graduated from Albion College in 1989 and Yale University, School of Management in 1993. Brian and Ulla are members of Brighton Presbyterian Church and enjoy camping, traveling, and spending time with their kids or just chauffeuring them around as needed.

    Bill has been a Hartland resident since 1993, when he moved from Jenison Michigan to build and become the Operating Partner of the Majestic Golf Course. He has been active in the community starting as a Planning Commissioner in 1998 and left that position as Chairperson. Elected as a Hartland Township Trustee in 2004, he has been the Hartland Township Supervisor since 2007. Bill is also active in the Hartland Chamber of Commerce and served as its President in 2000-2001. Bill has served on the Hartland Area Project since 2002. A 1985 graduate of Michigan State Universities Turfgrass Management Program, Bill is also very active in the Michigan Golf Course Owners Association, having served as a past President and is currently its Vice President. Married to Kay for 28 years, she is the 5th – 8th grade Health and Physical Education teacher in Hartland Consolidated schools and is the President of the HERO non profit, which started the popularTeen Center across Hartland Ore Creek Middle School. Bill and Kay have two adult children, Manny and Helen. Both are graduates of Michigan State University and have degrees in education. Bill and Kay enjoy their time enjoying a Round Lakepontoon ride and fall Saturdays at Spartan Stadium and are active members of Highland United Methodist Church where Bill serves as Chairperson on the Stewardship Committee.
